It’s the RADICAL SELF-EXPRESSION for me! For months, I had a vision of painting my body pink and dancing in the desert. It wasn’t perfect but it was perfect; exactly what it needed to be. Ya feel? #fuckyourburn

It was Monday and Burning Man was officially over.

I’d been there for 12 days yet I still hadn’t lit my fans or flowed with other fire fairies! 😓 In haste and excitement, I painted my body in hopes of catching sunset and rendezvousing with some new fire friends. That didn’t happen…Sad & upset, I rode into the playa on ‘Bubblegum’, my über cute pink bike, searching for a fire jam to join. I was unsuccessful. While exodus had begun and the city began to shrink, there was still a handful of experiences to discover Monday night. Curious souls such as myself rode out into the night to experience one last dusty hurrah. In search of kindred fire fam, I chased any glowing orb of light I saw in the distance. Though I felt elation once I reached my fiery destination, the vibe just didn’t resonate; I only ever found male/masculine performers and I was in desperate need for feminine reflections.

So I gave up…I began my sad girl ride back to camp. However, midway through the Playa’s expanse I stopped. I looked around to scope if any rangers were near me (b/c I wasn’t sure about the fire rules). But I was like F*CK IT; I’M LIGHTING THESE FANS! I didn’t have a safety with me and knew that was risky, but again…F*CK IT! Fast forward through some self pep talk et VOILA…she LIT!

Feeling jazzed, on fire, accomplished & CONFIDENT…

I gleefully scurried home and hopped into bed (still swathed in pink) cuz ya gurl was tired!

These images is from the morning after. I rolled out of bed for sunrise, just barely making it to capture my original vision. Bed head and all, I scurried into the playa to greet the GRAND SOLEIL!

Moral of le story:

You are enough. You don’t need others to feel on fire. Fan your own flames & see who is attracted to admire+join YOU! ❤️‍🔥🧚🏿‍♀️
